About

I remember first starting piano on the family organ when I was 8 years old. I always wanted to take music lessons, so I began both piano and recorder, followed by flute. In 1989, I graduated from the University of Ottawa, earning a Baccalaureate of Music with and emphasis in Music Education.

As a teacher, I believe that everyone has musical ability. I love helping people discover how fun it is to play music and understand music theory. Not only is there joy in learning music, these skills lead to all around healthier lives.

I perform as a soloist, lead children’s musical activities, play for choirs, accompany, and play for weddings and funerals. I stay up to date on pedagogical research and professional development through webinars, conferences, and courses.

I have over 35 years of piano, recorder, flute, and theory teaching experience—and I would love to teach you too!

Student Stories

“Caroline is a superb piano teacher. We have an energetic and sometimes inattentive 5-year-old who now loves piano. Caroline is patient, fun, and creative with her lesson plans. She adapts to our daughter’s quirky interruptions, and finds imaginative ways to hold her interest and instill a love of music. To our surprise and delight, online lessons have been going well. We highly recommend Caroline as a music teacher.”
